Description
The "Ladies Only" clinic caters to our needs in a fun and pressure free atmosphere. No guys...just driving. Improve your driving confidence and your speed along the way. Topics of the clinic include crash avoidance, cornering techniques, kart control, passing techniques and the importance of proper vision. Each clinic will include classroom instruction, track walks and on-track evaluation with personal observance of each driver. Our goal is to make you faster by increasing your skills and your confidence. The specific topics and techniques learned will depend on the skill level of the participants, hence, please don't feel that this is a beginner or advanced clinic ONLY. With a small group of participants, we have free reign of what we want to learn in this clinic.

Venue
Grand Prix Kartways provides the highest quality state-of-the-art electric go-karts for its racers. Not only are these race team stylized go-karts fast, they are safe, and environmentally friendly with no noxious fumes. Two types of Go-Karts will be used, both of which will be electrically charged. No fossil fuels will be required to power the karts, keeping the facilities clean, pollution free, and GPK environmentally responsible. For more info on their facility, check out http://www.gpkartways.com

Attire
Please wear running shoes and dress in comfortable clothes, such as gym attire. If you have spare gym/driving gloves, balaclava or helmets, bring them as well.

To Reserve Your Spot
Registration for the driving clinics is ONLY available through Sweetie Girl Racing.

There is a limited amount of spots available to ensure a high teacher/student ratio for the clinics. Walk-in registrations are permitted only if there are spots available and will be on a first come first serve basis. We will need a $50 non-refundable deposit by March 24th 2008 to reserve your spot. Non SGR members should bring in the remaining $10 difference on the day of the clinic.

There is a paypal link located at http://www.sweetiegirlracing.com/drivingclinic.php. We also accept payments via cash, cheque, or electronic money transfer. If you would like to forward your payment by another means, please let us know.

This invitation is open to all the ladies, not just SGR only. Also, please note this invitation is to the ENTIRE SGR TEAM, and not just the Miss Shift Racing Division. If any member from the Show Division is interested, we would love for them to join us!!

Now the fun part...
We would like to start building up a group of dedicated SGR members to take this opportunity to build on their driving skills. There are a few upcoming events at GPK that we would really like to showcase female drivers...and excellent ones at that! More details to come...sooo exciting!!

I'm in, please sign me up! And I would like to specifically request instruction on passing techniques (since I always end up stuck behind someone and find it sooo difficult to pass!).

^^
Going forward, we will be modifying the format of our SGR Driving Clinics slightly to encompass more of a variety of skill levels. We will be dividing our participants into a beginner level and an intermediate/advance level. Then beginner lesson will be for those ladies that will be participating with us for the first time or who have no previous driving experience. The intermediate/advanced lesson will be for those who have participated in previous SGR Driving Clinics or do have racing level experience.

I have sent an email out to past participants of the driving clinic. Hopefully we will be hearing back from them and registering for this clinic to accommodate this new format.
