"The ASN Mobil 1 Canadian Solosprint Championship presented by Trac Racing Depot on Labour Day weekend at Autodrome Saint-Eustache
Club Autosport des Laurentides (CADL) and Trac Lapping Club (TLC) announced the ASN Canadian Solosprint Championship (CSC), to be held on September 3 and 4, 2006. Presented by Mobil 1 & Trac Racing Depot, this “against the clock” event will take place on the 1.9 kilometre Autodrome Saint-Eustache road racing circuit, located near Montreal.
The Canadian Solosprint Championship is the premier event of the Solosprint (formerly Solo 1) season in Canada. It will allow local drivers and newcomers to measure themselves against Canada’s finest competitors over a two-day time trial event. Competitors will battle to be the fastest Solosprint driver in Canada, and will also have the chance to win one of three free registrations to the Trac Racing School, drawn from among the competitors. Major sponsors Mobil Petroleum and Trac Racing Depot will help make this event one of the premier grassroots autosports events in Canada for 2006.
Talented amateur driver and CADL President David Larose declared, “This championship is a true celebration of a sport that makes it possible to experience high performance driving in a dedicated, safe environment, and at a very low cost.”
Solosprint is a motorsport activity where cars are sent out one-at-a-time for full-speed driving on real race tracks. Drivers’ performance is timed, and no passing is allowed, to maximize safety. Cars range from everyday sedans to full race vehicles, separated into different classes based on their performance potential.
Hope to see you there! :D
